Display panels for Poster Presentations will be made available
from the morning of the 7 Dec 2014. Pl. bring your poster
on 7th morning and affix them for display at the allotted place.

The core time for interacting with poster presenter remains
the same as beforen (8 Dec 11:00 to 12:30) when the authors
are expected to be available at their poster display to
answer questions.

I thanks a lot for your accepted me to display my poster in GIS-IDEAS
2014, however I donot have enough money to register and publish my paper.
Therefore, I cannot attend Gis-Ideas 2014 and display my poster. I am sorry

Dear All,

One week has passed since the successful conclusion of GIS-IDEAS 2014.
On behalf of the organizers, I will like to thank one and all for support
and active participation in GIS-IDEAS 2014. The conference was attended
by more then 300 participants for 6 different countries and by all
means a grand success.

Full paper proceedings will be published sometimes in Feb/March 2014 and
we will send notifications to authors who had made oral or poster
presentations at GIS-IDEAS 2014 to make a final check of their full paper
presentations before they can be sent to the publishers.

Outstanding Acheivement Awards were persented to Dr. Nghiem Vu Khai
and Prof. Takashi Fujita, Founders of JVGC for their outstanding
contribution
in promoting Geoinformatics and fostering research collaborations between
Vietnam and Japan.

Four awards were presented for best oral and poster presentations as
below.

  1. L.T. Phuong and others "Regional Yield Estimation for Rice Crop Using
    Time-series
    MODIS and ENVISAT ASAR Data: A case study in Mekong Delta, Vietnam"

  2. Sasirin Srisomkiew "SOIL DEGRADATION ASSESMENT USING FAO GUIDELINE
    AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM IN KASET WISAI DISTRICT OF ROI ET
    PROVINCE IN THAILAND"

  3. Susumu NONOGAKI and others "Development of Browsing System for Two- and
    Three-Dimensional Geological Data"

  4. Le Ngoc Hanh and others"LANDSLIDE HAZARD AND RISK ZONING IN HOA VANG
    DISTRICT,
    DANANG CITY"

Attendees who need certificate of attendance for Workshop and Conference

2016 will be 50 years since the establishment of Hanoi University of
Mining and Geology (HUMG).
HUMG has been one of the founding members of Japan-Vietnam
Geoinformatics Consortium and
the GIS-IDEAS International Conference. Coinciding with 50 year of HUMG,
we plan to
Organize GIS-IDEAS 2016 in Hanoi. Look forward to your active
participation in this future
event.
